Here is a list of links to the things I have read, heard or watched this week that I feel help to support growth, develop integrative leaders, foster employee enlightenment and embody mindful marketing. Or, it was something I just thought was cool!
There is no real business benefit to this video, it is just an amazing feat of engineering. Living near to SF, the Sales Force Tower is going to significantly change the skyline of one of America’s most beautiful cities. Hopefully for the better.
I have had the pleasure of meeting Evan and actually trying this product. Not only is it fantastic, I just so admire his entrepreneurial spirit. He has taken a play out of the Silicon Valley playbook and applied it to artisan food. I think that is pretty cool and I am looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
There are dangerous to the allure of growth. This is a prime example of a company that took a giant step without the requisite groundwork and knowledge of the markets they were going to need to compete in. I think there is a lesson to be learned from this story.
There is actually an Apple museum in Italy. They have a giant collection of old Apple products and marketing materials. It makes me feel old to look at some of these pictures. I remember how cutting edge these products were. I lived in Los Altos, the town of Apple’s birth during that time, so this was literally close to home.
I recently wrote an article for Linked2Leadership about the importance of client facing teams having a coach. A coach can help with prioritization, focus, motivation, accountability, improvement and retention. This article does a nice job of also outlining the benefit and need.
